Download maps to PC

Sorry for my english, I'd like to know if is it possible to download the map I just created to my PC. If yes, how ? If not, I suggest to add this usefull capability. Thanks for the attention

At the moment, that is not possible, sorry. Animaps is purely a web-based application.

However, an enhancement we are working on is to allow import and export of KML files - these are files which Google Earth uses to display maps.

Once we have completed this you will be able to export your map as a KML file to your PC, and view it on Google Earth. I hope that this will help!

Would it be an option to also allow Ogg Vorbis exports? That way, you can make a free video out of it!

Isn't Ogg Vorbis just an audio streaming tech? As Animaps does not have sound at present it wouldn't export much.

We looked at technologies for exporting a map as a video but have not found a way to programmatically do that as yet.

Fantastic programs but...yes: it would be great if we could save video files into pc!!!!

It is been a year and a half now, since asking for the option to download the animation video. Is this option available yet ? I would like to use it in a home movie I am creating, to show a route as part of the ultimate video.

Might I request that at least visitors be made aware right from the start (or in the FAQ) that maps aren't downloadable? I had an idea this was the case since there's no mention of exporting, but the absence of information doesn't always amount to information. So, I had to go through the rigamarole of registering, creating and saving a map just to be sure that this could not be done.

Thanks! Cool app, but useless to me and probably many others without exportability (and I don't mean KML, but MP4 or AVI).
